Beginning and ending in Boston, this New England flydrive takes in some of the highlights in each of the six States. From the bustle of city life in Boston follow the coast north into Maine, and the friendly seaside town of Kennebunkport, famous in the 1600's for ship building.. Head South along through Vermont to Lenox, Massachusetts, perhaps pause along the way at the designer outlets in Manchester. From Lenox visit the 1200 acre site of Hancock Shaker Village to learn about the way of life of these peaceful people.
The south coast is your next destination, and the Connecticut town of Mystic, home of the Museum of America and the sea, which depicts the history of seafaring.
Last of the six states is Rhode Island, and Newport, choice of the Vanderbilts and Astors for their summers homes, some of which can be seen as you drive Millionaires Row.
Enroute to Hyannis in Massachusetts stop at Plymouth Rock and the Mayflower II, an expert replica of the ship that brought the pilgrims to the New World. In Hyannis enjoy the sandy beaches of Cape Cod and maybe visit Martha's Vineyard but whatever you do, don't leave without sampling at least one one lobster feast!
Return to Boston for some last minute shopping, or go straight to the airport for your flight home.
