To begin this fly drive head north from Denver to Estes Park at the entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park. Through the park, follow the Colorado River Headwaters Scenic Byway and on to the Steamboat Springs, a year round resort nestling in the mountains of Northwest Colorado. The route then passes the Dinosaur National Monument and south to Grand Junction, the gateway to Colorado's Canyonlands and Wine Country, along the Dinosaur Diamond Prehistoric Highway. 

Continue on your journey to the famous Hot Springs and the onto the ski resort of Breckenridge taking a detour along Top of the Rockies Scenic Byway and via the quaint old mining town of Leadville. From Breckenridge the route then returns to the Mile High City of Denver.
