Collect a car and drive the Turquoise Trail to Santa Fe, the oldest state capital in the country and surrounded by millions of acres of national forest. Take the High Road to Taos past Spanish style churches and chapels before heading west to historic Chama. Surprisingly green, Chama is home to two lakes and stunning mountain vistas.Your journey continues to Farmington from where you can view the nearby Aztec ruins then veers south to Gallup, the epicentre for Native American culture. Tour the many ghost towns and abandoned pueblos before heading back to Albuquerque.
