Alaska Railroad - Alaskan Adventure

An independent rail tour from Fairbanks to Seward

This independent rail tour provides the opportunity for travellers who prefer not to drive to experience the grandeur of Alaska by means of the Alaska Railroad.

The Alaska Railroad's Denali Star service runs from Fairbanks in the north, with stops at the magnificent Denali National Park and the small town of Talkeetna before reaching Anchorage. From there, the Coastal Classic service continues south to the waterside town of Seward, gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park.

Both of these services offer a choice of Standard Rail Car or GoldStar Dome Cars. The Standard cars are single level and have comfortable seating with good leg room, large windows and usually a dining car or kiosk where food and drink can be purchased. The GoldStar Dome cars offer comfortable seating in an upper level glass-domed carriage and access to a private open air observation platform. Meals appropriate to the time of day are included, and are served in the lower level dining car. A knowledgeable Alaskan tour guide accompanies every GoldStar journey.

Your Holiday Includes
